AQ-4050 Undersink Installation Kit
The AQ-4000 Water Filter can also be installed conveniently under the counter, out of the way, by using the AQ-4050
Undersink Installation Kit. This kit includes a mounting bracket for attaching the filter to the cabinet wall under your kitchen sink, a deluxe chrome goose-neck faucet that installs on your countertop for dispensing filtered water, and a self-piercing saddle valve for easy connection to the cold water supply line. This adapter kit is an optional accessory that can be used for the initial installation or added at a later date. Because the filter system is the same for either countertop or under-counter installation, this accessory offers the consumer a very affordable installation option.
For a very small percentage of homes, such as those with retractable spray nozzle faucets (less than 2%), this kit would be required for installation of an Aquasana water filter product.
Note: the AQ-4050 is only intended for use as an "open discharge" filter, and should never be used in any configuration that causes the filter to stay under constant pressure. The AQ-4050 uses a vented faucet that only directs water to the filter when it is being used, and turns off the pressure during periods of non-use. The AQ-4000 can only be installed under the counter using this AQ-4050 Undersink Installation Kit.
