AQ-4050 Installation Instructions
To install your water filter as an undersink system, you should first determine the appropriate location for the included faucet to be mounted. Be sure the location of the faucet allows the outlet spout to extend slightly past the edge of the sink.
The faucet may be mounted using an existing hole for a sprayer nozzle or other accessory, or by drilling a 7/8” hole in the sink or counter-top.
Once you have determined a location and drilled a hole, you may mount the faucet.
After attaching the faucet, mount the filter unit using the white steel mounting bracket and screws. Make sure that the location of the filter unit allows the tubing from the faucet to connect to the inlet and outlet of the filter without kinking or side pressure.
Once the filter is mounted, turn the cold water valve to the right for off.
Then, attach the T-fitting to the cold water supply line. Turn the T-fitting lever to the right until it stops. This will puncture the copper tubing to create a water outlet to the filter.
Once the filter and faucet are mounted and the saddle valve is properly attached to the cold water supply line, connect the hoses. Make sure the hose connecting to the T-fitting is straight.
Next, turn the cold water valve back to its original position. Then, lift the black lever on the filter faucet.
Finally, enjoy the convenience of a clear countertop with your water filter safely installed, out of the way.
